Seems to me any accumulation in excess of 4 or 5% was always the initial reporting threshold. So when I heard he had 9.6% I thought that didn't sound right. His actions also were very disruptive to markets - stock and option. Individual investors and larger as well make assumptions based on the reality before them. Then Disrupter Musk steps in and blows apart the whole landscape.

Hope it's ripe for litigation of the class-action variety. But it will take powerful lawyers to go after such a financial entity.

for personal profit for at least a few years now, he is a populist in the mold of TFG as I see it. He appeals to his admirers’ desire to affiliate with the likes of him by seemingly polling them and requesting their input. It strikes me very much as a charade. He is another narcissist, emboldened by his wealth, seeking adulation from the masses to feed his ego; coupled with the power of his money, this makes him potentially if not absolutely dangerous.
