Several bottles in the freezer right now; we'll move half of them to the fridge side right before landfall to help keep it cool. Filling the bathtub in a couple of hours for washing/flushing water.

Baked a fresh loaf of bread yesterday and we have lots of peanut butter and canned stuff, so we're good for food. Cats have food and I've filled their self-waterer.

As you can tell, this isn't my first storm.

It swung toward the south this morning, and Weather Underground shows it passing over South Vineland and Millville at this point.

We're well prepared. We'll be fine. I just don't want the electric to stay out too long.

We're in relatively new construction. The trees haven't grown high enough yet to be a danger to a house or car, and we don't have any trees at all in our yard yet.

We went through the Derecho with only five roof shingles blown off. We'll do fine here.

The rest of NJ away from the shore is in much more danger of trees and limbs coming down, especially since they are still loaded with leaves.. Jersey shore has less broadleaf trees and a lot more smaller "scrub pine", low growing, stunted pine trees

In a way this would be cool for you. You'll get to experience the eye of a hurricane. If it slams into you will Jersey City and NYC get the worst winds or will that be further south?
