President Biden has authorized the National Archives and Records Administration to hand over a new tranche of Trump White House documents to the House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol.
In a letter released Wednesday by the archives, Biden declined to assert executive privilege over the records the latest batch sought by the committee after the Supreme Court rejected Trumps bid to block such releases.
The new letter is in line with the Biden administrations decision to err on the side of disclosure, given the gravity of the events in the Jan. 6 attack. The archives has already turned over hundreds of pages of documents to the committee.
As to the remaining prioritized records, President Biden has considered the former Presidents claims, and I have engaged in consultations with the Office of Legal Counsel at the Department of Justice, White House counsel Dana Remus writes. The President has determined that an assertion of executive privilege is not in the best interests of the United States, and therefore is not justified...

This would be the committee that isn't sure it wants to do a criminal referral, yes?

What's the point of the Jan 6th committee if AG Garland isn't doing a criminal investigation?
And if Garland is investigating then what's the point of the Jan 6th committee?

whenever it wants, which now looks like late May.
The DoJ investigation is entirely secret, as it should be. Garland had zero leaks when he got McVeigh, and zero convictions overturned.
