My sentiments exactly. Makes me discount the entire post. And wonder at his motives. Squinch Oct 2012 #10

Supporting the troops means sending them into a war only when all other options are exhausted. It means taking care of them when they come home.

People enter the military for a million reasons and many military people are support, medics, linguists, photographers, engineers, nurses, dr.s, road builders, ship builders, secretaries...

The OP really insulted every person who ever joined the military this morning. I'm kind of ashamed of DU right now for letting that slide.

I did not call them all psychopaths. There are many that just get into the military for economic reasons.

"they couldn't get a job anywhere else, they were drafted or they were a psychopath in the waiting wanting an excuse to kill people". Some people may not even get to the "I will not support the troops" part.

Our previous two presidential candidates (Kerry and Gore) both enlisted in the military and, with their education and connections, would have easily been able to get a good job elsewhere. That must mean they were both psychopaths in the waiting. Thank god we didn't elect either one of them!

You seem to have left out several other reasons people join the military. See if you can figure out what reasons those might be...

I'll wait.
