If Elon wants to buy Twitter stock in a hostile takeover bid, the price of twitter stock will go up, especially if you buy/own a significant position.

Doesn’t really answer the question… but it’s probably fair to say that they expect the price they sell at to be higher than what they paid.

Might be interesting to know which of their funds were buying.
