The twin towers were gleaming, great music on the radio, I had the job I wanted, I thought, you know this 21st-century is not gonna be too bad. Soon after that it all went to shit

The biggest disappointment for me is to see our democracy crash so quickly.
Our GOP leaders willingly corrupted to sell us down the river. And the American people going along with it.

I never would have guessed it possible.

Foreign powers deliberately undermining us, we might have guessed that was possible.

But half the US government, our media, and a sitting president going along with the foreign powers to end democracy. No I would not have guessed it.

And the rolling back of all the social progress.
