Counting the days (gratitude)

So there's...
202 days until the midterms.
930 days until the Presidential election.

Personally I'm going to enjoy and appreciate EVERY single day Democrats are in control of the House and Senate. And every time I get discouraged or frustrated I'm just going to imagine the words "House Speaker Kevin McCartney" and "Senate Leader Mitch McConnell."

And I'm going to enjoy every single day Joe Biden is President and Kamala Harris is Vice President. And be grateful that Donald Trump didn't win re-election.

Honestly I have no idea where our dysfunctional country is headed. We may very well get blown out in the midterms and who knows what horrible candidate Republicans will nominate in 2024. And I'll never understand why the media still covers Trump relentlessly or the people who give him millions of dollars in campaign donations.

Let the media obsess over the midterms and speculate about whether there's going to be a Biden vs Trump rematch in 2024. That's what they do. They love the horse race. They started speculating about the mid-terms and predicting doom for Democrats the day after the 2020 election.

We won. They lost. The fact they still can't admit it is their problem not ours.

I feel sometimes the political pundits main goal is to give Democrats a nervous breakdown.
All they do is focus on the negative and wonder why many people think the country is going in the wrong direction.
