Unfrickinbelievable.
And yes, Jordan is being sarcastic.

(58,785 posts)very questionable history for many red-flag clues. Where only Democrats can get elected in a district, Hitler and tRump would both run as Democrats.
In any case, people who make good politicians have histories of building and doing good things, not of causing trouble for themselves and others. Can't be trusted to tell the truth? Ideologically extremely changeable? Slanders? Neither Paul Ryan nor Bernie Sanders would touch them? Deceives? Cozies up to vicious dictators and RW billionaires? Repeatedly attack their own party to make it impossible to fulfill their own campaign promises? Public political brawling? Can't play well with others? Any of them REALLY bad signs.

(29,369 posts)I have only had like ten hidden posts. Four were for "attacking" anti trans trolls, two for some random reason which I never figured out, and teh rest for saying YEARS AGO Gabbard was a Trojan Horse.
And was attacked by so many DUers for that.
Guess who was right. I expect a thread just for apologies.

(12,667 posts)Literally, I never understood why we should defend her. Her story made no sense to me. I could never follow her ramblings. She seemed crazy.
Yes, I remember when some on DU adamantly defended her.

(58,785 posts)troublemaking that drew support from both left and right, and the farther down that road one goes (either direction) the less liberal one is. Some LWers are specifically and reliably drawn to pols and influencers who trash America's liberalism standard bearer, the Democratic Party.
Here's a sample of Gabbard's very IL-liberal positions that those who liked her ignored and/or accepted:

In any case, good riddance to bad rubbish.

(29,929 posts)She started doing that when she was on her way out but there was period where she claimed she changed on those issues which wasnt unusual for Democrats who used to be anti-LGBT but changed with the times. She went back to her old self or that is always who she was but when she was out she became more open about her bigoted beliefs.
During the primaries I liked much of her foreign policy views. Not when it came to Assad or Modi but she was 100% correct on Saudi Arabia. Long story short I stopped defending her when she voted present on impeachment but the critics were right about her including those that are critical of the Democratic Party such as Ana Kasparian and Tim Black. They were right about Tulsi all along as well as so many people.
There were a lot of people fooled and she has lost a lot of support she did have on the left by being a full blown conservative since leaving office.

(18,714 posts)Such ridiculous drivel. She's parroting rw buzz phrases that carry no meaning outside the rw echo chamber. I find the repeated use of those phrases annoying, particularly in this case because apparently anything that is a move to raise kids to be respectful and not be assholes is considered "woke agenda"

(4,412 posts)They were discussing people who are supportive of Putin. He mentioned three names: Trump, Tucker Carlson and Tulsi Gabbard. He unapologetically called the three of them evil.
Bill Browder was once the biggest investor in Russia. When he started criticizing the government, Putin tried several times to compromise or eliminate him.
