Former President Trump apparently doesn't like his intelligence being called into question.
During Saturday's rally in Ohio, Trump detailed once again that he aced a cognitive test in 2018. "I don't like being called stupid," Trump said.

The test Trump referenced is called the Montreal Cognitive Assessment. It is not an IQ test but rather a tool to spot early signs of dementia and other memory issues.

Chris Wallace, who interviewed Trump in 2020, told the former president that he had also taken the exam, and it was "not the hardest test."

(4,636 posts)Like what normal people think when someone avers, "I was tired of being called stupid, so I took this test and it said I wasn't stupid!"
The rest of us would think, you're over 70 and you're this thinskinned? Also, you didn't take any such test. And why are you talking about this?????
But to him, it's what's on his mind, his constant grievances, his narcissism.

(56,261 posts)If I hasn't known donnie for decades, I'd wonder if it was all one big punk.
Like he's actually a normal, intelligent, coherent, sensible person who made a bar bet with someone that he could become president by acting like the biggest moron ever, and it's all just an act.
And he keeps going back to the guy and saying double or nothing? Bet I can convince people to infect their own family during a pandemic! Again? Ok, bet I can lead a coup attempt and get away with it! Again? Ok, bet I can get treated as a possible dementia patient and convince people it proves I'm a genius!

(56,261 posts)I bet a lot of people with dementia, and certainly Donnie in any event, would take it as a major insult to be tested for cognitive decline.
So they probably told him it was an iq test, a genius test, a test Einstein took, whatever they needed to say to get him to take the test.
And then he believed it and gloated on tv about it, and all his aides smacked their heads...

The rest of his tale is transparent simply via common sense.
