Can't wait for their parade. Especially if there are surprise guests.

If Russia's not careful, Ukraine will end up capturing their western border!

Totally embarassing for Putin

I mean, it isn’t like they need some context to justify an invasion. That ship has sailed.

This won’t change anyone’s mind about anything so what is the point? Very strange.

going to happen by a humanitarian actor trying to prove a point/capabilities vs to kill people, giving time to evacuate.

Russia has had struggles with keeping oil deliveries sufficiently pure (chloride contamination ruined 5 million barrels worth in 2020). Chlorides are used to help extraction but need to be removed again afterwards as they are very corrosive. With western supplies, parts, and equipment drying up; they will struggle to properly maintain and operate their petroleum industry.

If they do have large stocks of unusable oil, it would be tempting to destroy it in this manner. It hides their contamination issue, and drives up prices.

There has already been one strike against oil depots across the Russian border reported on April 1-2.

So not surprising. Could be missiles, could be sabotage. This whole thing is such a clusterfuck.

Despite suggestions from some, I'm too old to go over and volunteer. But I can try to keep the issue of the defense of Ukraine and much more aid from the West on this board
