BIRX now with a book, "am pretty direct" - had a pact with FAUCI & all doctors,

that if any one of them got fired by Drumpf, they would all quit. Says that despite all the Drumpf spectacle going on in public, effective things were being done behind the scenes... - doesn't seem to give FAUCI pride-of-place, says she had whole lotta bunch of pandemic experience and knowledge (sort of, more than him).

Yea, all the after-the-fact bravery... - she's still got a scarf on, now under the big collar.

After-the-fact won't save any of them.

She did a lot of outreach to localities. She spoke directly to state and county health people and could cut through the BS Trump was spreading.

They didn't do enough, they knew Trump's lies were killing thousands and didn't stand up to him because they wanted to keep their jobs.

If Trump would have had one of his sycophants in charge. Hard for me not to agree with their assessment.

Birx got caught up in the propaganda machine and stood up in front of the world talking about how much of an expert Trump was at pandemic research.

They, and other experienced pros, were important in that they were at least at the table. Bird did a lot of outreach to localities spreading actual info.

Where she/BIRX rationalizes about all the facetime outreach she did to correct Drumpf's mis- and dis-information:

Uh, speaking out on national media would multiply the outreach exponentially. Like Pony Express vs (X - internet, tv, telegraph ... ).

If she really wanted to get the factual information out there, she had one of the best venues (and numerous opportunities) in the world to do so.

But I guess she's learned on the hallmarks of ugly American politics: it's more profitable to ask for forgiveness afterwards than to ask permission beforehand.
