Re: Quitting Twitter or not and why I Left

The question of staying or leaving Twitter was for me, based on a pathological commitment not to put one god damn cent in Elon Musk’s fascist oligarch pocket. With advertising as its revenue base, and advertising based on my personal information that the platform mines and whores to others, the mere presence of my account gives them a fractional amount of money. No fucking way. Not one god damn cent, nor fraction of a god damn cent.

Never got on Twitter myself. Just was never into it or Instragram or whatever else. I see all the people saying they are going to "Stay and fight" for Twitter and that is exactly what I thought... "You are going to stay on Twitter, get hassled by all the right wingers who will now be emboldened to spew their crap, AND that is going to make Elon Musk even richer?" It doesn't make sense, when people can create a new social media or move to others which maintain a balance of engagement and social responsibility.

Musk didn't succeed all by himself.

That said. I will be highly interested to see how much Twitter gets posted here in the future.

This whole twitsplosion is making me laugh.

I bet our Twitter lovers will still be posting every single day. And they know who they are.

... And Twitter is consistently the best method of getting interested peoples' attention when I'm about to go live, which is generally when any money to be made will be made. I'm disabled, it's survival of the fittest, plus I split the money to support other disabled gamers. Do whatcha gotta.
