I've never been on Twitter.
But it might be fun to open an account just to see what it takes to get kicked off.

1. Me either and I plan to keep it that way. Twitter is 100% responsible for the downfall in
respectable dialog in the USA.

9. Why would you say that and how is having an AOL account related to Twitter?
And yes, I still have 2 AOL accounts but they are no longer my primary email address. I use them now to collect junk from businesses I buy things from online.

10. Because the "downfall in respectable dialog in the USA." was apparent
when Americans in all parts of the country got to talk to each other in AOL chat rooms.

Maybe you haven’t taken any history lessons in your life but I sure have.

4. I only see tweets posted here and a few other places. But if trump comes back,
or any other white wingers post stuff I don’t like, I’ll have to respond.
I suspect Twitter will be open to your blunt comments, rather than trying to kick you off. |

6. I may join now
I have never been on it or on FB.
What bothers me is that Democrats and Liberals always leave formats then the knuckle draggers take over. I can't give internet examples, because I don't do social media, but look at AM and SW radio. Both bands are now nothing but far right wingers, and FM is next. I think I may join and give it back to them. |

just to see how well his ‘free speech’ plan goes.

19. Me neither.
No Facebook, no Twitter, no whatever else there is besides those and Tik-Tok.
Don't give a fart's chance in a (chicken) blood truck if people engage on those forums or not; if they remain or if they quit. If you've never been behind a blood truck in traffic, then count yourself fortunate. The smell overpowers everything. Been some truly funny Twitter posts shared on DU, as well as some informative ones. I appreciate it when people share the stuff they find around the internet. Well, mostly. Guess we'll see how it goes under Musk, as I am sure people will tell us. |
