The survey of 1,605 U.S. adults, which was conducted from April 19 to 22, found that 39% select either inflation (33%) or gas prices (6%) as the biggest problem facing America today. No other issue comes close; in fact, only one climate change (11%) cracks the 10% mark.

Republicans can fix inflation?
Here's Senator Jon Tester on that idea:

What's a way to reverse inflation? Price controls. And remember, Republicans voted against capping insulin.

Anyone think they're going to put caps on rent and the price of goods - all the things their voters already think are examples of "socialism"? Ha.

Not our job to do the Republican Party's work for them.

(6,487 posts)that said this: "At a pivotal moment for our economic recovery, Mitch McConnell and his followers are blocking Powells confirmation and kneecapping the Feds ability to combat inflation and lower costs."
So, my take from that sentence is that, should Powell get confirmed, what would the Fed ACTUALLY DO, if given the opportunity apparently being denied to them by the blocking of Powell's confirmation?

(179,103 posts)A couple of months ago, I was polled by what appeared to be a GOP pollster on vouchers for Texas school children. I was very negative on vouchers. It is amazing how many different variations of arguments in favor of vouchers were given to me to agree or disagree with. These polls are a pain but it is fun to participate knowing that you are messing up the planned results of the poll

(14,427 posts)I dont think DeSatan will be pleased with my answer. Perhaps he will punish the Keys again , like he did when we insisted on closing to protect our county fromSouth Florida day trippers the first few months of Covid. We werent allowed access to more than a handful of vaccinations for weeks while Ocean Reef and The Villages got an over abundance, and of course as a special favor to Publix for its owners donations, their three stores were the only vaccine providers.

(6,115 posts)I'm never sorry I call them morons. It is a well-deserved moniker.
Also keep in mind that polls are incredibly subjective depending on how the questions are asked.
I have ignored polls since 2016. They were wrong then, and it doesn't seem like they've improved any.
