(4,089 posts)That which is spoken needs to be true, efficacious, needs to be heard, needs to be said kindly, and (among other things) ought not worsen matters.
There is no freedom of will behind too much of what is shouted in public; too many are simply shouting their inner torments, tantrums and terrors.

(1,910 posts)Musk will add an edit button, get rid of some of the bots. But the basic rules will remain, no threats, calls for political violence, posting of medical disinformation that could be harmful.
Perhaps some cuss words may be allowed, but in the end, most of the current regulations will remain in effect. Twitter tried being a free for all early on, chaos and major advertisers left. Musk is dependent on great tech employees and coders, they are in high demand. So he will not make much changes in regards to actual rules and regulations on harmful speech.

(23,306 posts)While that certainly doesn't necessarily make someone a racist and fascist sympathizer - it's hard to overstate how much those ideologies were drilled into white children growing up there in that era.
