1. Actually, it's a Russian thrust

Pushing northward, trying to link up with another thrust coming from the north, to cut off the Ukrainians, Of course, it's very obvious and in slo-mo, so it's not like the Ukrainians aren't aware of it and dealing with it. But it's not a Ukrainian offensive heading south - at the moment

4. The problem with those maps is that the Russians can't

actually control everything that is shown in red. They don't have enough troops.
