2. The thing is, McCarthy's conscience probably is his guide.

He has a warped conscience where as long as the ends is power, all means are justified, no matter how criminal or repellent.

His moral sense of right and wrong is distorted and disturbing, but it is still his morality.

He doesn't feel guilty about his egregious actions and words because he doesn't think them wrong.

Right-wingers aren't measuring what's good and fair, truth and just, decent and compassionate in the same way you and I might.

If you promote deliberate falsehoods and embrace lies to shape your view of the world and people, then your conscience will follow.

Same with hate and bigotry.

Your conscience will reflect all of that.

You don't see how delusional you are or how corrupt your conscience is - because to you, it isn't.

And you can't assume someone was taught better, because that isn't true of everyone.

Ignorance is not only powerful, it is also generational.

Same with willful ignorance.

Of course I enjoyed the cartoon.
