They know it is damn near impossible to elect a Democrat in Utah, so why not join an Independent like Evan McMullin to throw their support? He has a base already established and with Democrats supporting him, he has a good chance to get rid of the traitor, Mike Lee.

I usually have a hard time trusting people who say they’re independent. I want a DECLARED FRONTLINE PROUD-of-it DEMOCRAT.

I can’t trust an independent. Their loyalties are suspect. I can’t get around (or away from) my worries that they’re as likely to vote GOP as to side with me.

Besides, I’ve seen people SAY they’re “independent” mainly because they don’t want to be honest about being Republican. They’ll vote that way a lot, if not most, of the time. They just don’t want to have to admit it.

We’re in campaign season again and I’m noticing how many billboards and yard signs and even campaign commercials that don’t tell you what party the candidate belongs to. I find that schemingly deceptive. DELIBERATELY deceptive. Trying to romance you into voting for them. I want to know which party they belong to! And if I don’t see that, I likely won’t vote for them. I’ve come to suspect that if you don’t identify publicly as a Democrat, then you’re probably trying to put one over on the voters. In any event, you’re not being completely honest.

FULL DISCLOSURE OR BUST!

Even though he seems like a decent guy, but I suspect he's a Mormon and when it comes to LGBT issues, I worry he won't be supportive of those folk.

"as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I believe in traditional marriage between a man and a woman, but I respect the decision of the Court, and I think it’s time to move on," he said at the time.
