After Elon Musk purchased Twitter for $44 billion, veteran GOP operative Roger Stone thought he was safe to return to the platform after being permanently banned in 2017.
But his homecoming didnt last long, as the longtime ally of ex-president Donald Trump was re-banned within hours of creating his new account.
Well bitches Im back on Twitter, Stone bragged on Telegram early Thursday morning. Im anxious to see how strong Elon Musks commitment to free speech is.
After the new account, @RogerStoneUSA, was connected to the self-described dirty trickster, he was banned within minutesagain.

(20,591 posts)They all deserve to be heard, according to Musk. There are no limits on free speech, according to him.
We'll see how long that lasts when his Twitter becomes a festering cesspool of shit. Right now it's merely a waste treatment plant.

(20,591 posts)Musk's opinions of right-wingnuts lately, I take it? Twitter has been so unkind to them all, and there's absolutely no reason to censor anything they've said.
Maybe you haven't noticed, but Musk has taken a hard right turn lately. He is not our friend.

(54,770 posts)realizing it was wrong.
"Prime Minister Trudeau on Monday invoked Canada's Emergencies Act for the first time in a bid to put an end to the protests, which paralyzed the national capital Ottawa and cost the country hundreds of millions in trade daily. The temporary, sweeping rules give Canadian authorities like police and financial institutions greater power to crack down on protesters by doling out fines and criminal charges and freezing assets.
"Canadian authorities have been particularly tough on freezing accounts and funds linked to the freedom protesters. On Wednesday, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) ordered all FINTRAC-regulated cryptocurrency exchanges to immediately stop transacting with 34 crypto wallets associated with the protesters. Most Canadian crypto exchanges are regulated by FINTRAC, the national financial intelligence agency. Canadian financial institutions were also caught off guard by the new rules. On Tuesday evening, Canada ordered all banks, insurance and loan providers, investment and credit firms, and fundraising platforms to freeze the accounts of customers who are illegal protesters or have provided funds to the same.
Last month, Musk also wrote on Twitter, "If [the] Canadian government is suppressing peaceful protests, thats where fascism lies."

(20,591 posts)One of Musks complaints has been that Twitter has engaged in campaigns of censorship particularly against former President Donald Trump.
"I strongly supported Obama for President, but todays Democratic Party has been hijacked by extremists".

Hoyt
(54,770 posts)If you go into those boxes, you and millions of others can rebut the stupid MFer and the rubes who might worship trump.
Now, if Musk removes those rebuttal boxes, youll be right. But he wont do that.
SergeStorms
(20,591 posts)That's the point you and Mr. Musk don't seem to grasp. Rebutting them does absolutely no good whatsoever. The cult looks at their tweets and their marching orders are there in black and white. They don't bother to read rebuttals.
The lies and propaganda shouldn't be covered under "free speech". Someone has to take a stand for truth, science, and factual information. Insisting that lies and propaganda are equally relevant to truth and science is insane.
I'm finished debating this point with you. Like I said before, you do you, and I can almost assure you our paths will never converge again. I'll take a pass on Mr. Musk's "social" platform.
No hard feelings, but we're at opposite ends of this spectrum and no amount of debate will bring us closer to each other.
Have a pleasant day.

You either have free speech or you don't.
That's why the ACLU defends the Nazis right to march etc
Shutting down free speech you don't agree with turns out bad in the long run when the other side gets the power to do that to your side.

(20,591 posts)allow them to tear our democracy to the ground, allow them to get people killed by spreading deadly lies about a deadly virus, allow them to goad people to violently attack the Capitol with the express purpose of overthrowing the will of the people....... yes, these people deserve to be censored and must be censored. And this "rebuttal" crap is senseless. They're not going to read your rebuttals because they're already overthrowing the government while you're writing your rebuttals!
You Musk defenders are in a league of your own.

(4,168 posts)It takes a hell of a long time to build up connections to get your posts before many eyeballs. Not to mention Likes and Followers.
You can set up an account on an alternative social media site and spend a little time here and there to start building it up.
Besides, resisting the RW attempt to control the narrative can happen here. Harder on a little-known site.
Also, there's always the possibility that the Musk purchase is part of a psyop to elevate the voices of the RW and marginalize those of ours. With Michael Flynn out there, along with Army Reserve Colonel Phil Waldron, I wouldn't be surprised.
