she was very good, but she didnt have the kind of long, steady career that gets you in the hall.
and in terms of impact on the music as a whole? nah.

(11,606 posts)True, a lot of worthy candidates have been left out. But it's the politics that have kept some of them out (The Monkees, for one) that is disturbing. No one should be taking the RRHOF seriously. They certainly haven't done so.

(16,959 posts)In the older article, she had asked not to be considered, but the author pointed out that it wasn't really up to her. I don't see that she indicated wouldn't accept it, if voted in.
In this Morning Edition interview, Terry acknowledges that Dolly didn't want to be considered, then asked her what she would do if she was voted in anyway.
I only skimmed the two articles, maybe I missed something.
