(9,310 posts)response to it. Israel is condemning the remark in the strongest possible terms. Israel summoned Russia's ambassador over it. Israeli FM calls the remark "unforgivable".
It wasn't Israel's head of state who was the target of Lavrov's insulting comment, yet Israel was first to come to Zelensky's defense. What about the rest of the world? So far, unimpressive.
Sadly, Lavrov's remark is hardly an exception. Israel has always had to endure international antisemitism in the course of its history and to defend its victims worldwide in word and in deed. It still does. And it still calls antisemites out and will continue to do so, no matter their rank or status.
