Correction, watched the whole video, and much of the shrinkage occurred during the last 3000 years.

(15,222 posts)Most of the video seemed to imply that he's talking about a longer time-frame than 3,000 years, and Discover has an article that talks about shrinkage over the last 40,000 years. I'm not sure what's right.

(18,359 posts)Would be my guess. Cereal based diet is not all that great, but it is so much cheaper as a source of calories (translate less labor intensive). Better to have many more less healthy tribesmen than fewer more healthy ones.
Need to watch episode of course.
