AT THE SUPREME COURT — Barricades have been set up (“by order of the Suprmee Court Marshal,” they say).

Two police officers are standing watch as a crowd of about 50 has gathered, most sitting quietly with candles.

SCOTUS police officer confirms to me that the barricades were set up tonight, in the past hour or so.

She wouldn’t comment on whether it was a response to the explosive Politico leak, but you can draw your own conclusions.

10. I've been on many marches, and many candlelight vigils. I do ritual. Not everyone gets it...

But then, I actually have two friends who cannot comprehend the point of poetry, either.

Live well, do the right thing, uphold the safety and rights of the most vulnerable. No need for candles, if you are living right anyway.

We don't want a repeat of Jan 6th (an unjustified coup and insurrection)... but an insurrection can be justified when a government becomes so corrupt it won't even follow its own rules. We're damn close to that. But we still have political options. Congress must act. Voters must turn out in November.
