"God doesn't make mistakes!" People who say that have never visited the Mutter Museum in Philly.

.

The lower level has scores of specimens pertaining to varying fetal deformities.

Photography is strictly forbidden. This is a very disturbing place to visit as it casts
a reality on the prevalence of serious and often grotesque birth defects.

Here is some of the museum that has the more presentable displays.

Approximately 50% of first trimester spontaneous abortions/miscarriages are due to genetic defects.

A good many of these are considered incompatible with life - conditions that are fatal in utero, or shortly after birth. No brain. No kidneys. A heart so malformed that it cannot be repaired surgically. Lungs completely underdeveloped from a hole in he diaphragm that allowed the intestines to crowd into the chest cavity and prevent the lungs from growing.

There is a book entitled Smith’s Recognizable Patterns of Human Malformation. It should be required reading/viewing foe every pro-life/forced birther out there who thinks it is up to them to make decisions for others.

The 8th edition, published a year ago, has over 1000 pages according to the online reduction description.
