If not, my spouse will drive me.

(7,288 posts)Since we don't have a legal map yet, we'll vote in another primary "sometime later".
This one, BTW, was a complete shitshow. Our Congressional District was changed, but maybe not. No notice from the state, no voters guides. A young woman was passing out flyers for a Common Pleas Court judge candidate, but when we told her where we lived, she informed us that we were out of her precinct. We weren't, as it turned out, and informed her as we were leaving. She actually had been mislead about the precinct boundaries - probably intentionally.
Can't wait for the next one.
That's the reason I wasn't too terribly excited by the primary - and didn't do my homework until today. That, and today is the day in oer a week I've been up to thinking about much of anything.
Only 3 contested races - and all but one a foreone conclusion.
I keep seeing signs from one of my students out in my neck of the woods - and none of the proposed districts in which he would be running include my neighborhood. Gotta love the enthusiasm - but I hope I don't have to be put on the spot as to whether I support him or not. Nice hard-working kid, but too conservative for my tastes (although more on the economic than social end of conservative).

(7,288 posts)I'm embarrassed to say that I'm confused - 'cause I just couldn't pay attention to the Republican ratfuckery this year.
We voted for our U.S. Rep candidate. Yet the Congressional map remains undrawn. Isn't there the possibility that some voters will be moved into a new Congressional district before the next primary?

(7,288 posts)is that we all voted for candidates for the U.S. House without a map in place. I can understand, begrudgingly, the need for a second primary. But why weren't those House elections delayed as well?

Snip-Mike DeWine secures Republican nomination for Ohio Governor
snip-Updated May 3, 2022 at 8:20 p.m.
Incumbent Ohio Governor Mike DeWine wins the Republican nomination for Ohio governor, defeating former Congressman and business Jim Renacci, Central Ohio farmer and business owner Joe Blystone, and Ron Hood, a former state representative from Ashville who described himself as a forever Trumper. All of DeWine's opponents criticized DeWine's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
