If Dems want to get young people to vote...

they should make it clear that this Republican abortion decision will lead to a ban on all contraceptives.

A law in Connecticut banned the use of any drug, medical device, or other instrument in furthering contraception.
In 1965, Griswold v Connecticut decided that the law was unconstitutional so now we have condoms, iuds, the pill, etc. available to anyone.

The justification for Griswold v Connecticut was the same as Roe v Wade so if someone brings a new law banning contraception to the Supreme Court they will have to allow the law to stand.
And you know there are right wing Christian crazies that are itching to prevent everyone from having sex.

With no contraceptives or abortion available, G rated dating is all you will be able to do until you get married.

The only way to fix this is to vote in Democrats who, if they have enough control of Congress, can make new federal laws ensuring the legality of these things in all states.

..and plenty of young people have decided to have sex despite lack of sex education or birth control.

If a red state makes contraception illegal, someone challenges it in court and it reaches SCOTUS they would let it stand since the Constitutional justification of making abortion illegal is the same as making contraceptives illegal.

And it takes almost NO leap of faith to believe it.

will ban contraceptives. Again, one or two might, but TX, GA, etc., won’t try that.

And the laws are upheld I’m sure more states will join in.

But young people mostly just don't pay attention to politics .

The problem is many misogynists including among the left don't care about these issues. Just because someone may not strongly oppose abortion does not mean they care enough about the issue to vote based on it . This is especially true with a lot of men.

Young people are also having less sex and having it later . Social media is a huge reason for this.
