(42,660 posts)Ali Velshi has never, in my experience, unfairly criticized ANY Democrat or Democratic initiative.

I don't know about you BUT Velshi is the best thing MSNBC has IMO

(38,632 posts)He said Rachel would do Monday shows, but there wouldnt be just one host of the remaining shows each week.

(13,582 posts)And the rest of the week was MSNBC Prime. I didnt hear about rotating hosts on the other days. If true, that could be interesting. Time will tell.
spooky3
(38,632 posts)was that they didnt have a single hostotherwise, they would have added with John Smith or called it The Jane Smith show.

(13,582 posts)I hope its more than just another hour of the usual talking heads focusing on the usual handful of stories. MSNBC has PLENTY of other shows that do that all day long.

(38,632 posts)His is more of a straight Headline News showlittle commentary. However he includes (along with others) popular stories you might not find important, such as the Johnny Depp lawsuit.

Also, I think he is the best reporter and host they have, by far.

(329 posts)to the White House "panicking" over the leaked SC document. I think that was a poor choice of wording... maybe he could have said "unprepared" or "shocked"... panicking makes it sound like they don't know what they are doing... a government that can't get its act together...
State the Obvious
(855 posts)...more than a issue with the host. He follows THEIR direction.

(5,691 posts)I was upset at MSNBC for making this poor piece of journalism a story. I had read
the article earlier and was disgusted by the hit piece suggesting that the WH was
caught of guard and was panicking. I suspect Velshi is only ready the script that
the producers have given him. He seems very flat and not at all animated on this show or
clear as he usually is..

Back in the studio, he covers wide range of issues - has had many women and poc on air regularly. And he has covered the Supreme Court Roe v. Wade switch in great depth.
