8. The first time I saw a story about these delivery robots on college campuses

I thought, "Well, I hope they're ready to replace these things on a regular basis." We were pretty chill in college back in the late 1970s, but I can practically guarantee that even then these robots would have met with . . . accidents quite often at the hands of young men with a deficit of smarts and a surfeit of testosterone.
