What exactly is this Social Contract our ancestors signed up for. If there is no society and everything can be privatized, hasnt the contract already been broken?

(7,794 posts)Is a social contract an inheritance item? Are contracts based on future value renewable? I have this question to add. If a social contract is possessable, does that mean it's valuable, does that mean it's for sale?

(296,076 posts)Markets replace society and this is not just about the US. The social good is under attack. They dont even want public schools. Were seeing the rise of private militias who are infiltrating both the police and armies.

(27,741 posts)If your point is that we need to be aware of the danger unregulated capitalism poses to society and democracy, I completely agree. The Koch brother's program to fight off social services anywhere they are proposed, such as mass transit or broadband internet, is one such direct threat.
