Some tremendous art on Wolfman's Teen Titans run. Also Crisis. 67 is way too young to die. RIP to his family and friends.
Thank you for the exciting and beautiful art. You made Wolfman's story come alive. Made my college years a blast.
"A comic book legend is gone. Five months after publicly announcing his terminal cancer diagnosis, artist and writer George Pérez who redefined the Teen Titans, created the first great superhero crossover event, and influenced countless other artists has died, his friends and family confirmed on social media Saturday. He was 67 years old."

(12,506 posts)Two absolute giants. I read a post that said the best way to explain to non-comics readers just how big a deal they were was to say "Imagine if Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg died the same week."

My wife and I got to explain to Larry Niven what a big deal Len was. Niven just thought he was a nice guy who threw good parties.

(26,746 posts)once I post, it's gone. I didn't think it was a browser issue. Since I'm able to do it on YouTube comments and other platforms...... aaaanyway. Off topic. We lost him too soon.

(17,918 posts)I still remember my college friend handing me a copy of New Teen Titans #1. I had read some Titans as a kid, but I mostly was into the Legion. Didn't know what to expect, but gobbled it up along with Moore's Swamp Thing and the new X-Men (which I had been reading since Giant Size #1).

(3,704 posts)It was through something that had nothing to do with comic books. Our partners were both involved in a dance group together and he and I were both there with them. He was a really nice guy. I used to talk with him at those events for ages before realizing who he was.
