(59,520 posts)There's one right now that says, "look at what this politician has to say in a tweet!"
Then you have to click, which I have no wish to do. Why not just copy the tweet into the post?

(8,178 posts)I don't know we put up twitter feeds here.
Surely there are other sources for great opinions or breaking news.

(25,307 posts)Is it OK to copy the text of a tweet, or the picture, if it's a picture, or a screenshot of the tweet? And is the tweet's URL needed?
It seems that it's quite OK to copy part of the text of an article, especially if the link, hence the attribution, is given.
I think that if one merely gives the URL of a tweet, MOST of the time, it will render (a preview) here. I have seen it both ways, a preview and only the link.
I have no use for twitter and resent "having" to go there.
Sure, there are terms and conditions for DU, I'd go read them, but my eyes are tired and going nuts with allergies today, and it's also the time of year when some very special flowers open up here, and I am going double nutty trying to snap them, and then, really neat birds drop by as well.
Going back outdoors. Flora and Fauna are calling. (No, the birds don't "tweet". I caught a Northern Flicker and it goes "wik-a-wik-a-wik-a."
Fun!
And have a great day.
