I will say this once and only once. Ginni Thomas is no Mark Felt...

Mark Felt actually saved the democracy. Ginni needs to spend the rest of her life behind bars.

There are two ways to interpret the coincidence. Either he sought vengeance and it happened also to be for the public good as a byproduct, or he acted in the public good and also happened to get his revenge as a byproduct.

OF COURSE he and his partners (Woodward et al.) would claim the latter. If it's the former their actions are not so flattering. And there's a reasonable bit of evidence that it was the former. We're just the beneficiaries of dumb luck that it turned out to be good for the public.
