I really don't care much for him and his commentary skills....but I ask as to wanting to understand what exactly is going on now with MSNBC....The line-up is changing and is feeling weak these days....
Anyone have a gut call on this or information?
I sense that once the June Congressional live Hearings begin...we will be in new territory 100 x greater than 'Watergate"....I see tRump being declared an illegitimate President and many indictments to follow for Congress insurrectionist....
thus, is this a reason our MSNBC line-up is changing?

(47,419 posts)He has been an obviously horrible journalist and host for many years, not to mention he has no charm or personality. Yet over the years, MSNBC just kept promoting him. Do they do any focus groups or polls for their programs? Because I have never encountered one person who likes the guy.

(47,419 posts)kind of like Steve Kornacki. He'd appear on various shows, mostly Hardball as I recall. He was just fine in that role, but he never was good at hosting his own show. The only time he didn't put me to sleep was when he said or did something that was outrageous.

(111,089 posts)I haven't seen their ratings lately. They are still trying to hold on to the Rachel Maddow brand, even though she is on only one night per week.

(94,520 posts)She's a valuable asset to comment on Presidential politics and what's going on at the White House, but she'll only be showing up for occasional 5-10 minute segments. That's what "contributors" do.

(28,254 posts)I don't take political advice from rappers, any more than I do from country-western singers. MSNBC could do a lot better.

(47,419 posts)got her own weekend show, but I eventually found her exhausting to watch. She talks too fast and appears more interested in what she has to say next, often cutting off her guests who she obviously isn't listening to. Of course, many hosts do that, but at least most of them are better at pretending they are paying attention and not just waiting for a pause so they can jump right in. I always found Rachel was really good with guests - respectful and attentive, never dismissive or rude.

(28,254 posts)The line directed at Todd by Noah was something to the effect of "I'd ask you a follow-up question, but I'm sure you don't know what that means." Having Todd so thoroughly humiliated at the Correspondents' Dinner a few days ago sealed his long-overdue fate.

(9,953 posts)... Chuck and "Meet the Press" as a combo would surely be expected to rake in the ratings... if I were an exec, I would expect it to be #1 in the ratings... leading their daytime line-up! I think there is trouble over at MSNBC. They can't keep Chuck afloat anymore...

(25,541 posts)Did Trevor Noah know that the demotion was going to be announced? Word may have been out already in some circles.
PatSeg
(47,419 posts)Maybe Noah didn't bring about Todd's demise, perhaps he already knew it was coming.
