I keep reminding myself that he is from West Virginia. His constituents voted for Trump by 40 points.
A Democrat more in line with opinions on DU could not be elected in West Virginia. The country is some, if not much, better off with Sen. Manchin that any GQP alternative. My Senators are Tom Cotton and John Boozman, I'd take Sen. Manchin over either of them any day.
