Democrats in Indiana are doing just what I said Dems should do!

Republicans are refusing televised debates and town halls.
I have said all along that if Democrats REALLY want to damage the GOP then they should invite Libertarian (L) candidates.
And in Indiana they're doing just that! YES!

This is an incredibly smart & strategic move among Indiana Democrats. Think about it. If Republicans refuse to do debates & town halls, then invite the one party who will rip away votes from Republicans -- Libertarians, and split the conservative vote!
This is a huge gift to Democrats and this should most certainly be the path forward come 2024.
We already know that the GOP has said they won't do general election debates come 2024, so hey! Let's invite Libertarian's and split the conservative big time! Brilliant!

Democrats are using Libertarians as surrogates for the "we're not playing unless it's on our field with our referees" Republicans. The more outrageous the libertarian, the better. The best case is to bum out so many Republicans that they stay away from the polls in disgust.

Hell, Republicans are in a filthy, louse-infested bed with a freaking five-time draft-dodging casino hustling groin grabber. He is hardly a family-values role model of courage. But that's what they value. That's what they embrace.

So it's altogether natural that the Republicans, having nothing positive whatsoever to advance for America, chicken out on debates.

Their political cowardice will serve them poorly.

As will be just.

For Mike Pence's old congressional seat.
One town sponsored a candidate forum.
When my friend got there it had been cancelled because Greg Pence could not attend, supposedly.

The organiziers explained it would not be fair to Greg if he wasn't there so they couldn't hold it.
That's the kind of shit that happens in Indiana.

Recently I have seen republican candidates, usually incumbents visit a county courthouse where the office holders are republicans, then there will be a BIG local newspaper article, but no real chance for a regular voter to meet with the office holder. The article will just parrot talking points that were shared with the county office holders only and some secretarial staff, etc.

In some precincts that may actually be a concern but, by and large, this "national referendum" won't hinge on the attractiveness of the Libertarians so much as the repugnance of the Republicans. The force of repugnance is large in this GOP, I think.

Voters have for decades been instructed by the media as to why they should mistrust the Democrats. That's what has held us back in the face of obvious Democratic superiority. This time the propaganda against Democrats does not counterbalance the more-obvious iniquities of the GOP. This time around, Republican voters will need to not only, "hold their noses" to vote their candidates, they'll need a barf bag and a puppy poop bag. It could just be too much to handle for even the most mendacious, braindead Republican voter. A limbo pole too low to stoop for.

Thu May 12, 2022, 01:44 PM

They only lie so, why bother. Debates are meaningless to them because their base has become comfortable with lies. The lies actually make them feel good and empowered. The republicans know this and will continue traveling down this rabbit hole.

But, one day when the lies are so pervasive and readily accepted, the time will come when you go online and expect to see $4000 in your checking account and find that you only have $1000, that's when reality will take a huge chunk out of your ass. Bank says, "new fees, deal with it."

True trickle down economics. Lies from the top always and eventually reach the bottom and destroys everything all the way down.
