and instead a protracted process... The Postal law requires members from both parties, with not more than 5 from one party, and these final confirmees were the last "pair" of vacancies (one from each party) left over from last year, and finally fills the board.

However note that although the articles aren't saying it, the "I" (independent) on that board (that Biden added last year) is a "mail-in voting advocate" and left-leaning, so in reality, (D)s are 6 - 3 on the board (when you include the (I) effectively "caucusing with the (D)s" ). Now whether that helps right away, is up in the air but we shall see.

Also this coming December, there are 2 of the current members in slots that will be up for replacement, one from each party.

According to the Transportation Department, Kan coordinates budget and policy development for Chao. Earlier in his career, he was an adviser to Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell and was chief economist for the Senate Republican Policy Committee.

"What excuse can they use to delay it now?"

Everything he did needs to be undone. Any contracts with his companies need to be scrutinized and canceled.

that removed the burden of pre-funding benefits, the post office is on more solid footing than ever. Believe it or not, DeJoy helped get that through.

Yeah, he got rid of about half the flat-mail sorting machines, sparking charges he was trying to delay ballots. Somehow, the ballots got through.

Even with half the sorters dismantled, we still have too many because flat mail ain't where it's at, hasn't been for years. He's increased the number of electric vehicles ordered and the contract for the first 50,000 vehicles will be revised even more to deliver more than 10,000 electric vehicles with the additional funding.

"Perhaps DeJoy’s biggest accomplishment—and another area where he moved a process stuck in the mud for years—was also his least controversial: shepherding postal reform legislation into law. Lawmakers such as Reps. Carolyn Maloney, D-N.Y., and James Comer, R-Ky., and Sens. Gary Peters, D-Mich., and Rob Portman, R-Ohio, perhaps deserve the most credit, but DeJoy succeeded where at least two of his predecessors did not. Postal management and Congress have tried for more than a decade to erase much of the Postal Service’s debt and free up the agency to pursue new lines of business, but the measure just became law this month.

DeJoy pointed to his plan to fix postal finances, as well as his familiarity and credibility with congressional Republicans, as instrumental in finally getting the legislation over the finish line. Once a pariah on Capitol Hill, DeJoy is now a collaborator. Democrats still find areas of disagreement—they have called for DeJoy to rip up his vehicle fleet contract, for example—but gone are the constant calls for his head. To DeJoy, that is a recognition that things are moving in the right direction, and he does not plan on slowing down.

“I am against retreat, I'm just totally against retreat,” he said. “We have a good plan, we know what we're talking about. We’re digging in.” DeJoy has brushed aside the criticisms of his initiatives, the doubting of his intentions, the probing of his conflicts of interest. He is steadfast that he wants only to fix USPS, to leave it more vibrant than when he took over its operations. He is working to stabilize the workforce, preserve “affordable” mail and squeeze every last bit of efficiency out of the legacy network. DeJoy said he feels bad that he has “brought a lot of heat” on the Postal Service, but is proud of what he has accomplished. And he does not expect temperatures to cool.

“Boy, I'd love to be Mr. Great Guy who didn't raise the prices and didn't change a thing yet, all of a sudden, had the place profitable,” DeJoy said. “It doesn't get done that way. It doesn't get done without making change.”

A giant promotional push card promoting NoJoy's damn podcast.

USPS spent $$ to send these to every address in the US. Full color on heavy paper 6 x 8 inches.

Yet another reason to be outraged.

I have the jpg but can't find the instructions for posting photos (which I thought I had saved)

I can't find minutes of the Board meeting, oddly.

DeJoy speechified, giving a long rousing description of his fabulous work as Postmaster General. I can find audio of that.

But there's no news or info related to the Board and DeJoy's continued employment.
