I Don't Believe In Polls,

I really hope this poll is wrong.

According to CNN, 50% of Democrats do not feel our democracy is at stake. I mean it should be our #1 reason for voting. Cable news is right wing, so I am going to dismiss this poll as more right wing propaganda.

2. Maybe it's the 50% who tune out politics.

As I said in another post, I hope the J6 hearings wake everyone up.

the margin of error weeks and weeks before the race, and then just hyped it relentlessly and thus we shit away tens of millions of USD on a wish fulfilment (because of Graham being so hated) race (the same with other pipe dream States like TX and KY, and to a point Maine) that could have went to to States like MT (Bullock was a solid candidate) and, to a lesser extent, IA where they did have leads at one time but then got BURIED by tens of millions of RW dark money adverts the last 2,3,4 weeks of the race, and neither campaign had the cash to respond effectively.

Schumer and Cortez Masto did a pretty poor job recruiting too, and there are multiple people who I will have a hard time forgiving for not running, especially Tim McGraw who TWICE (2018 and 2020) refused to run for open seats after promising for 10 years he would run when he turned 50 (2018, when he was 51, he would have smashed that POS RWNJ Blackburn in that Blue Wave, and in 2020 at least would have had a decent shot at another open seat), Jeff Jackson (and also Foxx and Stein) in NC, all 3 refused to run leaving us with that sexting scandal clown Cal Cunningham, who blew a pretty decent lead against a weak AF Tillis in those last few weeks with his damn sex scandal.

Also, Stephen King in Maine (I really think he would have beaten Collins, instead we ran a non native, and Maine almost never elects non natives, plus Manchin fucked us hard with his endorsement of Collins, grrr, so so much money wasted there, and in all those sates I mentioned before, they had so much extra cash that they never spent tens and tens of millions, and the national apparatus did a shit job moving it around).

Also, Vilsack in IA (or even Axne) would have been far stronger, Sebelius in KS (the ONLY shot we had there, and KS insiders said she had a decent shot to win that open seat, but she refused), and finally Mark Begich in Alaska (who had ran and won the US Senate before, but he also refused, and we ran no Democrat at all, we had to rely on a weak indie, Gross). We had many chances to nullify Manchin and Sinema THIS term (Jan 3 2021 to Jan 3 2023), and we blew it, especially against some of the weaker Rethug candidates.

I've had a fair number of conversations in the past year about where i think we're headed, with people who i think are clear eyed about the world. I've been surprised how many have intimated that I'm being alarmist about how close we are to this whole experiment falling apart. I don't believe it's a motivating factor for many voters. So yes, i believe we might be in some trouble as a country.

Rs can crank their zombie base up in a heartbeat, WAY to many examples of completely innane shit, or stuff that doesn't even exists like CARAVANS!!! that they get their base tweaked out about.

This is an extraordinarly REAL, and grave thing, and if they would quit being scared of their shadows and went all in on it, would be an incredibly strong driver on election day ...

But, when American democracy's obituary is written, the Ds part in it will be that they did not rise up to the moment.

Nicolle Wallace, Chris Hayes, and Rachel.

Of course MSNBC (COMCAST) is right wing. The 2 major shareholders are BlackRock and Vanguard.

Just listen to Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartmann, Zerlina Maxwell and then compare that with MSNBC.

Look at the progressive cable news anchors that MSNBC has fired over the years for straying from the narrative, and no it's not about money. I really miss Dylan Ratigan, he was going around the country exposing "crony capitalism." That didn't last long. Of course they fired Keith Olbermann because he strayed from the narrative. I can name 7 or 8 more who were fired because they strayed from the narrative.

If MSNBC is so progressive, why did it just reject hiring Keith back, he would have made them money.

To keep minority rule, democracy must go. These Magats don't realize that fascist autocracy and freedom can't exist together either.

I mean we have caught Magats tampering with voting machines 8 times in 5 states. They are openly getting ready to rig the next election.

I'm from Pa. and they just caught Magats with a lot of absentee ballots. I believe it isn't about ballot harvesting, I believe it is about rigging the primary for McCormick to win because he polls the best against Fetterman.

To the President and the courts. Now, it delegates to bureaucrats and the Executive much of its authority. Too many of its members are there solely to vote on whatever the President wants. It's used used by the President a few times a term to pass supposed sweeping legislation. There are no committee hearings over big bills or any of the regular order. Rather, bloated legislation is written by a few, and then whichever side is in charge tries to ram it through as quickly as possible. Attempt at gaining bipartisan support is out the window and allowing thoughtful consideration isnt allowed either.

Newt Gingrich started this in 1994. It's worse today.
