Trump endorsed Janice McGeachin loses by over 20% to Gov Brad Little in Idaho

It's not been a great night for the far right in general and "Conservatives for Idaho" the far right, racist, white-nationalist organization specifically in Idaho

They not only endorsed Trump Backed Loser Mc Geachin. They also endorsed Priscilla Giddings for Lt Gov (78% counted, she trails by 14%), U.S. Senator Brenda Bourn (3rd place 56% behind Crapo), Sec of State Dorothy Moon (trails by 7%), Ed Sec Branden "microschools will cure what ails us" Durst (trails by 10), U.S. House 2 candidate Bryan Smith losing by 20%.

At this point, the only successes they've had are Raul Labrador for Atty General and Russ Fulcher (running unopposed).
It appears a terrible night for Idaho's far reich.

Not thrilled will Gov Little or Sen Crapo, but they're better than the CfI backed candidates, and this is Idaho -- Republicans are going to win in Nov

In the Secretary of State race, Republicans had three choices: Phil McGrane, Dorothy Moon and Mary Souza.

Phil McGrane is the County Clerk of Ada County, where Boise is. By all accounts he's not a terrible person.

Dorothy Moon is an election fraud believer (in Idaho, which broke for Trump by 30 points) who is holding a "2000 Mules" viewing party and who hangs out with the Panhandle Patriots, the bunch who's going to try harassing the pride rally in Coeur d'Alene City Park on June 11.

Mary Souza is my current state senator. A few years back she ran for mayor of Coeur d'Alene on a mob rule platform: she was going to have an advisory vote of city residents for every single thing the City Council wanted to do. That didn't work so well, so she ran for the state senate and served there a couple of terms. She also served on a land use board in Cd'A and got kicked off it for being an asshole. (On edit: in the mayoral race, one of her big issues was that the city converted "McEuen Field," where the American Legion baseball field was, to "McEuen Park" without holding an advisory vote first. When the field had the baseball diamond on it, no one but the American Legion ever used the field. Now the park is super popular. And in the process, the American Legion ballplayers got a far superior baseball diamond that's near both the Interstate and Restaurant Row.)

Fortunately for us all, both Dorothy Moon and Mary Souza lost.

Unfortunately, I checked my county's election results. In every race where an even slightly rational candidate was running against someone who makes Mike Lindell look sane, the maniac won. We even lost Jim Addis, who was probably the best Republican in the Idaho legislature.

There are pretty and not-pretty parts of Idaho…and the pretty parts have been commandeered by the insane. I live in Kootenai County. It broke HEAVILY for all the nuts on the ballot, and one of the two best lakes in Idaho is in Kootenai. The other best lake in Idaho is in Bonner County, which makes Kootenai look sane. (Bonner is the place where Klansman Shaun Winkler ran for sheriff and got votes.)

but obviously this isn't the turning point yet.

Our friend fishes also, so I'm guessing both those counties are on his "when the kids are grown" list that started long before the insane swarmed in. Being pretty apolitical is his problem. I think he's only recently started to accept that his old dream isn't exactly a way to leave modern crazy behind.

Best wishes for next time.

The catching is great, but thanks to 120 years of lead smelting at Kellogg they’re not safe to eat.

You’ll love this: one of the papers we print is run by a guy who’s trying to figure out how to get pregnant so he can have Donald Trump’s baby. He was complaining about the Superfund site in his town to clean up creosote contamination one day. “Dan,” said I, “didn’t your hospital just build a cancer ward?”
