(197,171 posts)We live in a no questions return world right now. Well, for everyone but non whites - they keep receipts.

(23,802 posts)I would assume you can only get a refund if you get it through the policy of the story you bought it from, which typically means within 30 days and with a receipt.

(8,952 posts)Because the numbers on my jar are formatted entirely different from this format.
And guess what? The four numbers in front of the 425 on mine are 2006.

(8,502 posts)Does Germany not do peanut butter?
DFW
(60,429 posts)Its almost never available here except in specialty stores that sell imported foods. Some place over in Holland made a limited edition version that had to be stirred up before use every time because the ingredients would separate, and it looked like something out of a toxic waste dump. It did not sell well.

(34,852 posts)I used to purchase it when I was on a health kick about 30 years ago, except I don't have the muscles to deal with it..LOL
Products like Jif contain hydrogenated fat, which keeps the fat emulsified.

(8,502 posts)My new jar is on the recall... dang it. But thanks. I used it once with no ill effects, but don't think I'll tempt the fates with the rest of it.

(5,050 posts)on the Jif website they have the upc codes of the affected types, then also those product codes,,,,
the type I buy is not the right upc code,,,, but the product code is within range unless that 425 is static,,,, then it's not

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
