I don't know about anyone else, but I just started crying...hard.

I haven't been a cryer since I was a teenager. I don't really know what is going on with me lately, but these horrible events are getting to me. The war in Ukraine has caused me to cry a lot, then these shootings one after another.

It is so depressing that we live in a stupid ass country that has its priorities and values so twisted and mixed up.

What kind of future do we really have as a nation when people are in fear of just doing everyday things like going to the supermarket or sending their children to school?

I guess remote learning during Covid saved lives. Fewer kids were shot and fewer kids were murdered in their schools.

A sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. These students should have been out for vacation Thursday. Now they are dead.

An endless list of shootings.

Are we safer for all the guns?

Is the GOP 2nd Amendment moving the country in a safe direction?

What's the purpose of a civilized society? Safety and life, or guns and fear and death?

What the hell are we doing?

You almost have to lay odds anymore on whether you’ll come home alive from school, the grocery, a mall, a nightclub….

How much worse does this scourge have to get?

Their families get to stare at these kids' bedrooms, their clothes, blankets, their fav pillow next to the toy they've held at night since babies.
The bedtime books they read. Their artwork on the walls.
Their pajamas laying where they left them just this morning.
All these families have left from today into eternity is a fking memory.

Go Look at it Greg Abbott! Go there
Go comfort those families Gov Abbot! Go take a tour of those kids' bedrooms, the homes they lived each day in. Their fav breakfast dishes on the kitchen cupboard, their shoes by the front door.

Go look! I fking dare you
Bring your favorite gun with you. Proudly carry it along the journey. Proudly display it as you address this horrific tragedy from your well guarded podium

I fking hate all you stand for Greg Abbott

I can only imagine the anguish, the shock, the sorrow…the rage. I don’t know how one can even function after losing a child, in such a horrific way. Those parents imagining their child’s terror and pain. There’s just no words for the level of horror from which those parents have claw their way back to sanity. It’s unspeakable.

But I'm also so angry, disgusted and disappointed. Embarrassed to be an American, at this point.
