It is not like SWAT and hostage rescue trains hundreds of hours for just such an occurrence.

Give them a few hours shooting targets on a range along with a 9mm that they have to keep secured all day and send them out to protect their charges.

Teacher with a gun - just the first target because a gunman will always have the drop on someone who isn't expecting it.

The right-wing solution is always more guns, more misplaced blame. The five billion dollar a year gun and ammo business has to be supported and protected at all cost. Follow the money. In private conversations, in back rooms, the Republicans and the NRA officials are deciding how to "spin" this event to blame it on anti-gunners. You will probably hear, in the next few hours how Democrats are to blame.

The only thing left for us to do is mentally prepare for the next mass shooting, for as sure as the sun rises, someone, somewhere, is planning another attack on innocent victims. They are gathering the guns and ammo and planning an attack, and our leaders will not do a damn thing to try to prevent it...
