(18,372 posts)Doesn't the GOP want to eliminate weapons free zones? Can the NRA please get right on this and protect this young man's rights. All he did was carry around a rifle.

(77,278 posts)I'm no gun expert, but even I know the AK-47 is a rifle.
How can a pistol be a style of a rifle?

(11,767 posts)Don't know why, but they do. It is a real thing.
Seems odd, even though I believe what you say.

(11,767 posts)I would post a picture but I don't want to be accused of gun porn. Plus I think people who post pictures of firearms are weird.

(77,278 posts)After your first reply.
That doesn't look like a pistol to me. Things are 16-19" long.
It looks like a machine gun with the stock removed.
In fact, I saw one pic of the same weapon with a wireframe stock attached.
I'd say if all takes is to snap on a stock to an 18" weapon, it's a rifle.
But, what do I know?

(8,203 posts)I'm going to wait for further corroboration...all I have seen is this police release..doesn't even look official..story just doesn't add up..a business, a juvenile walking with a rifle..a car with firearms..none in the school..I'll wait..

(20,405 posts)Orbeez guns are toys that fire water beads, sort of like Airsoft and paintball guns.
It says the AR was an Orbeez; was the AK too?

(1,991 posts)I had never heard of them but the original announcement said it was an "replica AR-15 style orbeez rifle".
Apparently the orbeez are a water or gel filled pellet.
