The police are the ones that barricaded the gunman in the classroom the students were in. Then waited until a SWAT team to arrive. The gunman was reported to have been in the school for more than an hour.
A border agent arrived and went in and confronted the murderer. The border agent was shot but managed to kill the mass murderer.
