(2,337 posts)It's common name is "Broken Heart Syndrome" because it can be caused by sudden grief or trauma. So sad to hear. Mine wasn't caused by that, it just happened, but it happens enough to be considered a trigger.
If interested here's more Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy - Broken Heart Syndrome

Abbott and the republicans have so much blood on their hands. I curse them for what they have done to Texas.

(46,110 posts)I've been making calls to voters. I was just going to do it a few times and get more active around October. Now, I'm going to do it once a week at least, probably for different states. We must make the Republicans' stance on guns and Roe the death knell of that party.

(6,265 posts)Republikkkans have become evil, evil, evil. This is the damage a vicious person with no conscience causes. And I'm not talking of the shooter of those innocent children specifically. I'm talking of Abbott. These are some sick, sick leaders leading these repthuglikkkan led states now.
The two teachers killed died trying to save the children. Cops stood around with their thumbs up their butts. They will come up with some kind of lie/spin. My spin? No damn excuse to wait an hour while Ramos took an hour to kill children while they heard shooting and never moved. No damn excuse/lie/spin will take away from the cowardice of this so-called police response to an active SHOOTING within their hearing...
