Additional background check requirements, safety training, increased age limits…I would defy anyone to show me a credible poll showing that anything approaching a majority support an outright ban on semiautomatic weapons.

Incidentally, are you mixing up automatic (ie a machine gun) and semiautomatic (ie, one trigger pull, 1 shot discharged)?
