That's it. It's all over. It's a landslide folks.

The swing states are all Obama's, and the red states except for Arizona, Indiana and Missouri (surprise!) stays red.

Obama wins with over 350+ EV's vs Romonoid's 157 EV's.

Bank on it. Put it in right here!

Who now lives in Missouri, I'm going to bet that MO goes red. I haven't heard anyone outside of my close circle of friends who isn't on the Romney wagon. I have no idea why, honestly, as they are voting against their own interests. I really do believe that they think they are on the edge of being a millionaire, or will be one day, and don't want anything containing their ability to earn at that point. Truth? Not gonna happen. It's VERY rural here, and mostly farmers and factory workers. Hard and honest work, but not gonna make them millionaires - especially considering MANY without even a HS diploma. It's so sad to watch them get scared of Obama and his "otherness" and vote for someone who couldn't care less if they starve or not.

I think Obama will take the cities (Dems usually do here) and the rest, overwhelmingly red. I'm voting anyway, I always do - and have been encouraging everyone else to vote too. I will be up ALL night watching the results, but Missouri won't be a surprise to me unless Obama takes it.

for no real benefit. The only use I can see is to have one or two strictly for those who can't use the paper ballot. Specially designed to accommodate as many different disabilities as possible.

Ideally you want to do a hand count in conjunction with the machines DURING the voting period (not as a recount). So why have the touchscreens? The system needs to be made as simple as possible.

...then the Republican party would go into meltdown. They would allege voter and election fraud on a massive scale. They would demand investigations and, where Republicans run the statehouses and governors' mansions, they'd conduct these investigations themselves. They would unilaterally and monolithically ignore and defy the results of the election in a huge "he's not my president" movement. (Think of the birther movement on steroids.) They would go into a total and complete obstructionist mode of operations (making their recent obstructionism look like child's play by comparison), effectively trying to run their own country within a country.

It would be a period of such chaos and sustained civil, political and economic attack that it would essentially be a rebellion the likes of which will not have seen since the civil war.

This is NOT hyperbole. Republicans have been radicalized to the point where I can see something like this happening.

Just like Clinton did.

We are conditioned by the media to buy their whole narrative that the states are all solid red or solid blue but the margin is actually a lot closer than they depict so a lot of states flip.

What gets me is I have spent my entire life seeing the blue as Republican and red as the Democrat. They only switched it in 2000 and then acted like the center of the country is red, has always been red and always will be red when it's all a lie. The South put Carter in office. The rest of the country voted for Ford. We have had elections where the loser only carried his home state. California was a Republican stronghold until Clinton and now it's called "The Left Coast". And what gets me is the pundits keep pushing this idea that this country went to the Right after Reagan but they NEVER claim it EVER goes to the left. EVER. Obama won the last time in a landslide but if anybody used that word to describe his win they would NOT allow that to go unchallenged. They have suckered America into believing it was a squeaker.

Wed Oct 31, 2012, 01:33 PM

but not quite the one we'll be playing for anytime soon due to population trends and demographics. Several states Clinton did really well in (LA, AR, WV, TN, and KY) have been trending away from Democrats since '00. On the other hand, NC and VA will be swing states and so will CO, and AZ.

Part of the issue was simple racism in the Appalachian states. They're heavily white, poorly educated, and more racist than average and religious zealouts to boot. Obama did better in the deep south due to higher AA populations but he never had a chance in others (it's interesting to see which counties Obama did worse than Kerry in and it was the along the south and Appalachia).

When white people look for someone to blame their troubles on, a large percentage of them assign blame to "the others", usually blacks and hispanics. The Democratic party has long been associated with concern for the downtrodden and, in today's USA, this means blacks and hispanics. These blame assigners almost always vote Republican, which is at this point the political party of white racism.

We'll be shut out in the South except maybe Virginia, we'll have decent showings in Florida and North Carolina, but still lose both by close margins. We need to win Ohio, Wisconsin, and Nevada (and, of course, hold PA, MI, and MN). That will get us to just over 270. If we can also pick up Virginia and Colorado, then we'll be closer to 290.

I hope you're right, but I'll be ready to call it a landslide when I see it.

The President is going to WIN!!!! But I believe in Fighting untill 8:00 pm in all time zones. Sorry I want to work until we start playing the drinking game. Anybody know what word or phrase will be used in the Drinking game this time?? I voted already so now its just making sure those of my family and friends get out the VOTE. But I will say that I think there is a State that might get Purple that no one is expecting!!! Those Personhood Bills in the States have really pushed out Women Voters!!!Watch the states with High Rejections of these Bills. Hello Mississippi!!!!!!!!!

here is what makes this possible, one word SANDY. While the jerkass pretender candidate is acting like a mop, our president was being PRESIDENTIAL, this resonated in peoples mind instantaneously that this is a man we can trust especially hearing Gov. Christie a republican Governor singing his praises it woken the nation up knowing that they have a President that cares.

Will go a long way.

FORWARD!

I'm being conservative, giving O NH, IA, WI, OH, and all others (MI, PA, MN, etc).

But giving Romney VA, NC, CO, and FL.

I still see the latter category as very possible.

0% chance of him winning here. This isn't a landslide like 2008. 281 to 257 seems pretty likely. Romney takes Colorado & Virginia.

...Obama will have to win Ohio. It's mathematically impossible to win without Ohio if VA and CO go to Rmoney.
