We have been giving them a chance since Nixon, Regan, Bush, Trump.
Has not worked out very well for us.
edit to add: But I appreciate your efforts to think about taking action in a creative way.
And not just feeling helpless.

(13,849 posts)The gun companies will sell weapons without credit cards. Like a store credit. You agree to make payments.
That's how this latest kid bought his. No money down, no credit necessary. He didn't even have an ID.

(24,906 posts)It's another way to make money, charging interest. Sears was probably a leader in that category at their peak. Used car lots, furniture stores etc., they all do it.

(37,852 posts)Sales should be via credit card only. Owner name and credit card name should match exactly or no sale. No debit cards either.
Why?
Because each sale will then be in a monitorable database.
Also 18 year olds tend not to have credit cards in their own name.
