(4,131 posts)I dont own any automatic weapons as theyre prohibitively expensive and absurdly unnecessary items for hunting and home defense, not to mention the regulatory hurdles to license them.

(14,709 posts)Putin laundered millions to GOP candidates through the NRA.
That's why they're pushing the meme that the $40 billion that is going to Ukraine should be spent on "School Security" instead.
So don't expect a normal reaction.

(7,722 posts)A Good Guy can turn into a Bad Guy in the blink of an eye.
A Bad Guy can see the light and become a Good Guy - very rare, but I think it must happen once in a while.
I was both yesterday.
A Good Guy for doing the dishes and lighting the fire to keep the wife warm.
A Bad Guy because I swore at the dog for getting in my way while carrying firewood.
(No people or animals were harmed yesterday though. So it won't make the news.)
Yes, a stupid example. But we all have the potential to be either.

(25,355 posts)That's why I love the song, Get Together, by the Youngbloods. Especially these lines:
You hold the key to love and fear
All in your trembling hands.
One key unlocks them both.
It's there at your command.
Another line in the song says:
You can make the mountains ring
Or make the angels cry.
We have choices. Sometimes we make bad choices. Sometimes we make good ones.
But undeniably, making the choice to kill people, when it is not in self defense, is not just bad, but worthy of being called evil.
