Did you know that, in every state in the country, the highest paid state employee is NOT the governor?
In five states, it is a medical doctor.

What's your point?
Government could not hire a lot of people with specialized expertise absent competitive salaries.

(11,203 posts)I mean, Fauci absolutely deserves that amount. He could make more at many high level research universities. I'm really glad he is paid that amount so at least we can keep him in the public sphere.
The POTUS definitely needs a higher salary. I agree with you on that.

This isn't a fan club, but considering all the irrational foam blasted his way by the right, you'll need to be very fact-based.
