Cringeworthy Christie - just last week!

What a pig!

“You’ve been living inside 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. for the last four years,” “If you don’t think you can change Washington from inside the White House let’s give you the plane ticket back to Chicago you’ve earned.”

“If he believes that, then what the hell is he doing asking for another four years?” “We’re happy to give you a bus ticket to the outside, Mr. President.”

Obama is “blindly walking around the White House looking for a clue.”

“He’s like a man wandering around a dark room, hands up against the wall, clutching for the light switch of leadership and he just can’t find it.”

1. It takes a big man to admit he was wrong.

And Christie is just maybe that big a man.

Or maybe he's just a lightweight blowing with the latest political breeze.

for federal money!

He's a bully and a hypocrite, and will never admit he was wrong about POTUS Obama.

[font color="navy" face="Verdana"]Just maybe he'll have the good grace to apologize in person when he sees the President tomorrow.

Doesn't mean I'll ever like or trust the man, but it might earn him a little forgiveness.

I'm quite sure the President will be completely gracious, as always.

Typical repug, one week he says the opposite of the last week. He is hyped up that Obama called him personally, and that is all.

7. that's just his personality, but check out the pics from his meeting with Obama last year

someone posted one of the pics in another thread. there are a few of them. christie knew he could not beat Obama . he knows Obama has that something that Romney lacks. if you look at Romney and Christie together Christie usually plays attack dog, but there isn't any personal affection between romney and christie. but if you look at the christie and Obama pics Christie appears to be more enjoying himself and appears more kind and relaxed rather than the hot headed image he is known for. Christie was much more positive about Obama today than Christie was about Romney in his keynote speech at the RNC which was mostly about himself . while i believe he does want to run in 2016 i also think he really does kind of like Obama while with Romney at best he doesn't feel much either way and it was more of what he could get politically out of it.

11. I think he's still an asshole who's looking at his re-election in 2014 but

I also think he genuinely loves his state, he loves New Jersey. Above all, asshole or not, he is blowing a huge hole into the Romney boat which was leaking before but, imo, is sunk now.

Let him keep talking whether it's because of 2014 or his love of his State or whatever, it can only benefit the re-election of President Obama which means it benefits the American people.

who really isn't thinking politics . remember the type of guy Obama is . he is the type that wants to know and has real concerns. you can tell things about someone when you talk to them and the things they ask you and say to you.

i really think Christie got a sense of "this guy is really trying to hep us". contrast that with what likely happened when Romney called and tried to do whatever benefited him(romney).

The fact that he has a big mouth and is bombastic, has endeared him to the RW. However, he has read the numbers and knows President Obama will be in the White House another 4 years. He plays nice when it's to his benefit. I am somewhat surprised he has been so effusive in his praise of Pres. Obama, but then again, he is running for re-election in a blue state in 2 years.
